« on: May 12, 2012, 03:42:35 am »
Hi folks - I'm Shane, an Aussie lad from Brisbane, Queensland. Stay at home dad, primary cook of the house and totally beside myself with excitement whilst I await the arrival of our new TM. What on earth to cook first?? So many great recipes, where do I start!!

Welcome Shane.  It's so exciting waiting for your TMX to arrive.

I'm sure you will find lots of great ideas for your first few recipes on here.  I have some banana and date muffins in the oven right now!

Welcome Shane. You are certainly the sort of guy we like on here. You will be very popular. I would start with making some stock as it is called for in a lot of recipes. the recipe will be in the  Every Day Book. Mashed  potatoes perhaps?  I cook the potatoes in the basket but you will find your own method. As you get used to it you will definitely need the For Foods Sake  cookbook .  It is a gem and great for newbies as well as us  old timers.

Good luck and congratulations on your buy.

Hi Shane, welcome to the forum.  Congratulations for the job you do as SAHD, I take my hat off to guys who will do that.
Check out CP's list of favourite recipes - you might see something that takes your fancy and I can highly recommend the recipes she has listed.

Welcome to the forum Shane, you will have probably dozens of recipes you want to try by the time your TM arrives and will be even more confused on what to try first :)
Definitely try the veggie stock concentrate first (or in your first day or so) as there are a few recipes that call for the stock. :)
