Do you have a special sliding door gutter cleaner Gert, they are cows of things to clean.  Luckily I only have 1, how many do you have?

Finish your book, it sounds more fun than cleaning  ;D

You have heaps to do so perhaps you should look into it further Gert.

Check out the 1st one, the brush then the robot contraption - I like that one but I guess it would be very expensive.

The robot is interesting  the brush too but I think I will just ask the cleaner to do them. Seems the easiest ;D ;D ;D

I  can see them from where I am sitting  reading and watching the cricket while it buckets  down outside.  I may have to turn the lights off and use my kindle light to read by so I can' tree it.

What a great thing to do for your DS' fiancée Michelle, I'm sure she appreciated it.
Today I've spent most of the day in the kitchen as it's going to be very hot in the coming week so not planning on doing any cooking for the next few days! Also managed to tidy the kids bedroom & playroom ready for the cleaners who are back from holidays yay! Poor things will be cleaning on a day when it's supposed to get to 41 - at least they start early.

We had our car run today. We ended up taking one of the modern cars as it has aircon! We woosed out. It was quite pleasant under a big tree. We all came home early ( round 2 pm) as it felt hot. A couple of members received SMS's saying their homes were near a fire breakout. They were from totally opposing areas of the city too.
A meeting tonight, specialist in the morning for a check and then life can hopefully settle down a little. Cooler weather and cooking.

I've been preparing myself for the next 5 over 40oC days, stocked up on salad ingredients, made 2 lots of ice-cream, a batch of iced tea and printed out 7 pages of smoothie recipes which I have typed up from various sites.  Hopefully by the end of this coming week I will have used up all the frozen fruit which fills 1 drawer of my freezer.

The rain is lovely. How I love to sit out on our verandah, looking up at the mountains all greyed over. :) kids have gone to the grandparents for the night. So we've watched a movie and catching up on one of the TV series we are watching.

Well done Judy. I hope it changes its mind and is cooler now. INAID that sounds like a perfect evening.

I've just checked and the fires have caused the loss of 27 homes so far. It's horrid. I have 2 lots of friends who have had to evacuate and don't know if their homes are still standing and a couple of acquaintances. Fires are frightening anywhere.

Are these the same friends this happened to last fire season Cookie?  It's certainly a worry and I hope your friends have good news to report when they can get back to their homes.  27 already gone, sadly that's a lot of unfortunate people already though.
