KAtie Nikki has a facebook site called Cooking n Coventry. They have just put up the photos from yesterdays lunch.

I did the grocery shopping this morning.

I had planned to have a big cook in but DD is off work. She had a bit of a reaction to her second Pfizer injection. Mainly sweats/ cold. She said she can’t strip off at work so is home. Apparently a bit of a reaction is normal with the second Pfizer injection, as your body already has some of the bugs in it.
I guess we will find out about the Astra Zeneca when we have it.

Cookie , thanks for that info.  Yesterday our GP said their clinic will be allowed to give 10 vaccines injections a day.  We will be rung with an appointment. The flu injection will be after the vaccine.

I had my hair cut this morning.

Chookie I have decided that when we receive our second vaccination I will have a heap of freezer meals tucked away. Then if we feel rotten it won't matter. MIL had hers a week ago and it was Pfizer too and she had no reaction. DD said one person at work had the same as her, but otherwise nothing much else yet, for those that have had it.

fartachoke soup is what we all called it too ... add fresh ginger this stops it .
Cookie thank you I’ll look up the site .
I have been home since Tuesday , felt numb till today . Been so busy too , out every night this week dinners yoga drinks . Picked DS up late Yesterday, had not seen him for three weeks , he seems very tiered but happy to be helping DH on farm .
My new glasses arrived and they are rather different green frames and orange on the sides , my old ones are red and purple ! It’s great I can read a lot better with the multi focal , they raised the reading part up , incredible what can be done .
Just a quiet day , even managed to do a little reading .

I went to the football today, first time since the 2019 season and I loved being there. I hope this season doesn’t become affected with Covid again but it’s always a probability.  So nice to catch up with those around me.

Yesterday made filling for chicken mushroom pie. Will top with mashed potato. Repacked freezer and discovered a few little surprises. Berries to make fruit sponge for Monday dinner.
Checking bedroom and bathroom for friend who is coming to stay.

We had a younger couple from the car club round this morning. He had been having a Model A body done up but the person sold it on him. The police wouldn’t help as they said it is a civil matter! He came round to test drive our Fordor. He found it easy to drive so is looking out for one.

DH has just looked over my shoulder and pointed out that is isn’t a Fordor it’s a Tudor. 😀😀😀

Cookie, that is so dishonest.
My Father was involved with the Riley Car Club in Melbourne and was disgusted with the dishonest behaviour of some of the members.
Last night, family and friend for dinner. Good fun.

DH was helping a friend paint their DD's unit before she sells it, so I went out and visited my brother. It's about 100km round trip and takes a good hour each way. The number of trucks on the road really surprised me this morning. I took him a loaf of Classic Bread.

Nice to visit your brother Cookie but a long trip if you have to battle the trucks.  I hate driving on the freeway because of the big semis. Next time we are going to Melbourne, DD is taking us down and DS is driving us home. We have booked at Sofitel for a week as we want to attend the Impressionists exhibition and catch up with friends.
Today, Dr and Chemist. Little shopping.

I know what you mean by the truck traffic, Chookie.  Quite often when we are traveling up and down from Guildford, we take the 'back' roads - makes for a slightly slower journey, but the roads are so much quieter and more restful.

Supermarket shopping this morning.  Dr visit this afternoon for our annual health check.
