If you are eating all that cake, bread, jam and potatoes you won't be able to fit through the door so you will be well and truly self isolating. 😂
Take care my friend.

My mother was the same. When I asked her why she overloaded the cupboards she gave me the same excuse, “ your father was one of 9 during the depression” and did not have enough food. My smart ass reply was all the more reason to not hoard as we now had plenty and we should share. My mother was not impressed. I am now down to 2 and 3/4 rolls of toilet paper It will then be down to the tissues.

Since I became a minimalist I shop maybe once a month down the aisles. I only shop around the outside and for fresh food maybe every two weeks. I have exactly 4 rolls of toilet paper. One each on the holders and one extra in each toilet. I hope I do not get the shits any time soon. But should I, I am sure I will make do as millions of others who do not have the benefit or luxury of affording toilet paper. More and more I find hoarding an anathema.

Made a mess of trying to load Kindle. Problem is I may have had it a long time ago. We now have different address , phone numbers and post code. Will have another go when I have someone to help me.
Do not worry my friend. Delete all kindle apps and start again. Try to remember when you first set up an Amazon account. If you cannot then just set up a new Amazon account with a new address and a NEW password. Gert

Me too Judy. I must admit I didn't notice it so am thankful that he did.
I had a bad leak no bugger could find. Went through 3 plumbers before it was found. I claimed on my home insurance by calling it exploration rather than straight plumbing and they paid it. Then when I got my water bill from the council we had a robust discussion and they agreed to halve the bill. Whew! Gert

Books books books. Wow. I was able to dispose of all my books when I moved to Cairns. Books do not do well in the Wet Tropics! I took to kindle but not for my cook books. But then I downsized and realised I really use the Internet more as Judy says. I now am eyeing off getting rid of th e8 of the 10 I have left. I will never get rid of my Thai cookbook as it is a direct translation in English from Authentic recipes and is pretty rare. I have had it for 40 years. Maggie Beer is the other one.

It is a good feeling when you take bags of unwanted items to the op shop.
I reckon it is a great feeling when you find another thing you don’t need and can toss in the charity bag. Today I am checking the kitchen drawers. Gert

Gert, that is fantastic. I’m very pleased with myself if I don’t buy any new stuff. Once I have mastered this, I will then consider getting rid of some things.
All in good time Chookie. LOL!

Just think about it Chookie. If we were all forced out of our houses like those poor people who have lost theirs in the fires, what would we really need to set up a comfortable living again having lost all the sentimental things. First back inside our houses would be our Thermomix. LOL!

Julie, my sister is having their floor sanded and re coated. They have to shift out for a week. Ours could probably do with a refresh but the thought of removing everything give me nightmares.
Made me laugh chookie. You could shift everything out and bring back only what you NEED! New floors and a clean out all at once. LOL! Gert

Oh yeah they are costly alright and the good beans too. Funky got the right blend for me here as we are lucky to grow coffee in the tablelands and have lots of roasters in Cairns. I have often thought about buying a small roaster but determined the noise was just too much to bear.
