I have honestly never heard of peanut butter and celery either Amy. Not a big celery fan and don't like peanut butter either so I  am not missing much. I use celery in casseroles and soups but its cooked down and not visible. Is it an Aussie thing? Maybe as I grew up in UK that's why I don't know about it  ;)

I'm not sure if its an Aussie thing... I think Aussies would have used vegemite if they invented it ;D You're not missing much MF, but if you didn't have fairy bread as a kid then I would be worried :D

Love celery with peanut butter. It's nice with cottage cheese too. :D

I've never tried it with cottage cheese Mich, but I have it and celery in the fridge :D

I love celery sticks with pâté. When we were little, my sister and I used to make celery pâté sticks and 'sell' them to our parents for 10 cents per serve  ;D

Love it MEP :D :D

celery and peanut butter or fairy bread haven't had them in years.
When we were kids we use to sprinkle sugar on lettuce roll it up and eat it.
I child-proofed my house, but they still get in!

We love fairy bread, and as kids also use to eat the sugar rolled in lettuce leaves. DH eats celery and peanut butter but I hate the taste of raw celery and only use it in cooking where it is cooked down and sweetened.

Fairy bread was a staple at every birthday party when I was little. Loved it. Tried it recently and it is sooo sweet. Like eating coloured sugar. Oh how my taste buds have changed in a few decades ;D

What is it about childhood that makes coloured sugar on white bread so appealing ;D

Peanut butter and celery, very nice. I have never liked fairy bread, too crunchy for me. Nor sugar on lettuce although I know others who loved it. Mum wouldn't have peanut butter in the house she disliked it so much so I think I was in my 30's before I tasted it, I love it but do try to stay away from it.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.
