Grand Final day here in Melbourne - that means today is THE BEST DAY TO GO SHOPPING in the whole year!

Never thought of that before, I guess if they are not at the game then they are home watching it on tv.

That comment has turned out to be a double edged sword - our shop is dead quiet today!!!  Usually we see heaps of people passing, heading for the MCG and there aren't even that many on the streets ... yet.

Drinking gin and tonic keeps the mozzies away  ;D ;D ;D well it stopped us getting malaria when we lived in PNG and we have never had it in Peth so it must work  :D
