Easter / Help with Choc Chip Hot Cross Buns
« on: April 13, 2014, 09:13:58 am »
I made this http://www.recipecommunity.com.au/breads-rolls-recipes/choc-cross-buns/26620#comment-61677 recipe today and the dough is still proving. I added the choc chips and they melted and the dough turned into chocolate dough. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem?

It looks like an amazing, delicious recipe but unsure if anyone had this problem.

Bread / Proving in the Thermie Bowl
« on: November 04, 2012, 08:18:50 am »
Does anyone else have issues with proving the dough in the thermie bowl? I have always risen mine in a pyrex bowl and never a problem. Doing it in the thermie bowl always sticks, especially to the lid and then it tears and it just deflates. Just wondering if anyone else has had issues?

Bread / What do you do with your Brioche dough?
« on: October 20, 2012, 11:44:23 am »
Just wondering what everyone does with their Brioche dough? I made a sweet plaited loaf with raisins and cinnamon. Just wondering what else can be done with it? What is your fave thing to do with it? It is so easy to make I am quite taken with it!

Chit Chat / Help! I'm really struggling :(
« on: April 25, 2012, 10:52:33 am »
I've lost my Thermie mojo  :'(

I want to use it to it's potential but I just haven't. I have one family member who is Gluten Free and I struggle with trying to make gluten free stuff. I don't know if I am doing things wrong but I find my thermie doesn't live up to my expectations in the area of grinding grains ect. Not sure if I am doing it wrong? But it doesn't turn them into the flours that I was lead to believe it would  :(

Anyone have any tips?

What are your fave things to do in the thermie? What gives you your inspiration? I really need to get out of this slump because right now my thermie is just a very expensive paper weight sitting on my bench :(

Hello!

I just bought my Thermomix on Wednesday and thought I should join in and say hi...sooo..HI!

Bolognaise sauce cooking as we speak and we made lemon Butter this morning. Will whip up some short crust pastry after tea has finished cooking and I will make some mini lemon tarts for sweets  ;D

I have found this an awesome place to get recipes and ideas from. I love it already!
