I can't say we have sent our hot weather over to you KAtie as we still have it. Yesterday was only 30 but 65% humidity which feels worse for me. We have a cyclone forming up north so it is usually hot down here when that happens.

We had visitors for lunch.  Cooked a hot lunch that I had prepped yesterday.
RTE , beef cheeks was very popular. It got to 31 but no one seemed to mind.

I do love a cooking challenge. David Lebovitz has posted an interesting recipe for Bostock.  This is an Almond Slice.  It includes Almond Paste.  So I made it in the TMX.  Difficult to buy and expensive. When I have made the Bostock I will post the whole recipe.

I made another two jars of plum & raspberry jam today.  4 apple turnovers with left over apples, cooked in the AF.  4 containers of a vegetable sauce for pasta or anything else you want to use it for.  3 of these are in the freezer.

Lovely cooking.  I would love one of Mabs apple thunovers to have with my coffee.
I finally made the Bostock. I made a Brioche loaf first, then the Almond paste, all in TMX.  Assembled it today and baked.  It is a really easy French pastry.

I am cooking a new recipe just now, but it will be tomorrow before it is ready so I am not claiming it for today.

late this afternoon I had to go in to town to get a few forgotten groceries so I picked up a pizza for dinner as I am by myself this weekend.

Oh double delicious Chookie. All I'm making today is some flat bread for dinner. It is a new recipe, I think we may prefer the RTE one.

I was initially a bit disappointed with the Bostock.  However the Melbourne family loved them.  I caught them adding cream and berry jam to them.  In the comments following the recipe, some people do add a layer of jam under the almond paste mixture. I will do this next time. The almond paste recipe makes a lot, but freezes well. I will post the recipe as it is a bit unusual and once you have the ingredients it is very easy to put together.  You could also make Almond Croissants with the almond paste. I made a Brioche loaf from my Light and Soft Broich recipe to use as the base.

I’m starting a rye SD today. Yesterday I made a Classic loaf and some biscuits. They are very nice. Peanut Butter Granola Biscuits.  I did the whole recipe in the Thermomix. https://queen.com.au/recipes/peanut-butter-granola-cookies/
