Title: Fabulous Chilli with Vegan Sour Cream
Post by: Cuilidh on October 14, 2014, 09:20:24 pm
This is a chilli for meat lovers, vegetarians and vegans ... everyone will love this one.

I have just found it on the ohsheglows (http://ohsheglows.com/2014/02/05/my-favourite-vegan-chili-with-homemade-sour-cream/comment-page-4/#comment-1350224) blog and have to say, it has just got to be the BEST chilli I have ever made.  I used a third tin of beans and squashed about 1/2 of the beans from that tin up before putting them in for a bit of texture.  I also cut back on the chilli spices as I don't like anything too fiery.

The sour cream was fabulous.  I couldn't get it really smooth so next time I will double the mix to see if that gives enough volume to allow a smoother mixture but, to be honest, the slight texture was not a problem.

The sour cream picture looks so nice Marina.  How does this one compare to the one in Rainbow Recipes which is cooked after blending the cashews etc?

It is so long since I made that one, Judy, I cannot remember.  Will try to do a comparison this weekend and let you know.

This does look nice, I think I would tone it down too. I like the look of the Banana Muffin Tops too.
