from the English book...
« on: February 02, 2009, 10:08:24 pm »
Hello!
I found a pdf file with the Index of the English cookbook, I'm not sure if it is the same for different countries  ???
Could you please post these recipes, if it's not too much to ask:
Chinese Soy & Sesame Dressing (p. 41)
Chinese Style Stir Fry Vegetables (p. 92)

Thanks a lot  ;D

Hi Soni,

I have a copy of the English book "Fast & Easy Cooking" but unfortunately it doesn't contain the recipes that you want.  Perhaps there is another book and someone in the UK will be able to help you.

Hi sonia,
This isn't actually from the English book, but the Australian one.  P 92 and P41.  Which country are you from - do you have this book?  If not, let me/us know and I/we will post them for you.
As my picture shows, I've suddenly become younger :-)  DD was of the opinion that her picture should be here, not mine!

Hi Soni,

Here are the recipes you wanted

CHINESE SOY & SESAME DRESSING

4 tablespoons light soy or tamari
2 tablespoons sesame oil
2 cloves garlic
6 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
20g ginger
handful of coriander or 10 mint leaves or fresh chilli or 2 star anise (optional)

Place garlic, ginger and any optional ingredients in the bowl and chop for 5 secs on speed 6
Add rest of the ingredients and mix for 5 seconds on speed 3

CHINESE-STYLE STIR FRY VEGETABLES

500g mixed vegetables (eg cabbage, mushrooms, carrots, broccoli, snowpeas, red capsicum) chopped or sliced
2 cloves garlic
10g ginger, peeded
30g olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons oyster sauce or soy sauce (use your sauce of choice)
1 small dried chilli (to taste)

Place oil into TM bowl and heat for 2 mins at varoma temp on speed 1
Add garlic and ginger, saute and chop for 2 mins at 100C on speed 4
Add vegetables and cook for 7-8 minutes at 100C on Reverse+speed soft
After 3 minutes cooking time add salt, oystersauce and chilli
Serve

Hope this helps,

Trudy
