Recipe Platform?
« on: January 02, 2017, 09:43:06 am »
I emailed the Recipe Platform (Cookidoo) telling them how much I loved their creme brulee recipe and asking if they knew when the automatic download of these recipes to the TM5 was going to happen.
They said it was being tested worldwide, but have given me instructions to do stuff in the TM5 settings, which I think would allow me to use this facility.
I have emailed them back to clarify if this is indeed so and whilst i wait for a reply, was wondering if anyone here knows anything about it??
It would be soooo useful, but I am loathe to try in case I mess something up, good and proper!

I don't really know anything about it, sorry. I sort of tried to join here and it went a bit crazy, so I haven't bothered.

Sorry I don't know anything about the Recipe Platform.I find the site difficult to use.I hate that spinning blade and even though I always click "don't show me this again" it always does :-)) I gather Germany has the Cook Key already but not sure when it will be released here.I know of one Advisor who has trailed it here in the U.K. But she had to return it.

it seems I was sent the wrong info. Here is what my reply from Cookidoo reads:
Dear Mrs Chase,

Thank you for your e-mail dated 02.01.2017.

I am deeply sorry the misunderstanding, was totally my fault.

The Cook-Key® is already available in some countries and soon will be also available in United Kingdom, I sent you, by mistake, the procedure to reset and connect the device, I am sorry for this wrong information.

I just wanted to inform you that, in a near future, we will have this new equipment with which, you can download your recipes directly to your TM5.

It is called Cook-Key® and yes, is an extra device you will be available to buy soon.

This new equipment works attached to your TM5 and it will connect, via Wi-Fi, to your Platform COOKIDOO®.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Best Regards ,

Well that could have ended badly.
I wonder when Aus will have the key available? I've joined the recipe platform but haven't bought any recipes.

I guess I was a bit peeved that you have to pay for recipes, when we have so many available. That is probably why I didn't pursue it. I also found it very hard to navigate.

i admit I was tempted to alter the settings. Thank goodness I didn't. Something didn't seem quite right.
I love the recipe platform and now have most of their recipes.
Cant wait for the Tm5 to "Go live" but I'm sure there will be endless teething troubles.
Lets wait and see!

I feel the same way Cookie. So many great TMX recipes available without the cost.

Really don't know much about any of this . Can't see any need to buy recipes as most can be successfully converted with a bit of a fiddle. This challenge is probably why I love my TMX.

I agree Chookie. I used to admire Judy long, long ago as she could convert recipes. I think it probably took me 18 months to 2 years to do it comfortably. Now I just use the thermomix almost all the time. It just comes naturally.

Why thank you cookie, I didn't know that!  In the early days it became an addiction but food is the last thing on my mind these days and I take the easiest way out possible.

My pleasure Judy, it's the truth. I wondered if I could ever do it, but the time came.
