Those little faces?
« on: May 19, 2013, 09:49:24 am »
I have just tried to attach one of those little faces to my last post- shown in yellow when you are writing a message- but can't seem to do it. I have tried just clicking on one with the cursor where I want my smiley face to be, I have tried copy & paste, but nothing works. Could some kind (and knowledgable) soul advise me what I am doing wrong please?

Hi past94x, to add a smiley face above just click on the one you want  :) I clicked on the first one on the left and a colon and a bracket show on your post.  ;D The grin one shows a semi colon and the capital letter D.  When you post your reply they convert to the smiley faces.  Hope this helps

Marie  :)

Ah, that explains it.
All I was getting was punctuation marks and I thought I had done something wrong. I also tried the Preview button, but the same marks appear there too. I didn't realise that when the message is posted, things change.
Thanks so much for taking the time to help me. ;D

Hey, I did it. Those punctuation marks do indeed change to little faces.
Thanks again for helping me.

I'm sure lots of people have been confused. Thanks for asking the question.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.
