Oh, nazar, you poor thing. Lucky that dad was there to keep the sticky beaks out.

I don't know why they would be upset Rogizoja. I bet those same people would drink tequila with a worm in the bottle.
I agree Den, nothing like a bit of extra "body" to improve a wine  ;D

Love the embarrassing moments!

Rogizoja, I loved your story! What did you do? I would have been mortified.

mcmich, that's a classic.

I haven't had a really embarrassing moment, but my sister has. When she was a trainee nurse way back in the dim dark ages, she was helping an elderly man use a wee bottle. She was such a total innocent, she'd never experience the working parts of a man. She actually directed his b#$@s into the bottle instead of his p#$%s!!! Poor man wee'd all over the bed.
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

So glad I'm not a nurse. I would carry food tongs with me    ;) (and maybe a mousetrap in my pocket  ha ha  ;D)

At least DS learnt what was what with that incident MJ.  I can't believe she wasn't taught in her training, even on a dummy would have been useful.  I'm with you on the food tongs CP  ;D

It's not always as obvious as one might think!  I remember a similar incident in my student nurse days involving a large, very old German man who had no English, wasn't circumcised, had a very big wrinkly scrotum & a microscopic p*#@+^ which retreated when we had to stand him out of bed to wee. It was all very humiliating for him when we couldn't find the right spot to place the bottle and myself and the other nurse ended up standing in a puddle of it.

Yuck Amanda, I cringe at the things we use to do 30 years ago, ungloved.

I was, and bright red to boot!! "One in a million chance, must be a blocked jet in the bottle washer" says I and packed them all off with a free case of (a different) wine each! Most of them did see the funny side.

When checking what was happening on the forum this morning I noticed one of our visitors was reading this old thread which I had completely forgotten about.  If you have time and you want a laugh maybe you'd like to have a read too - and maybe add another story to this thread!  Now I'm behind in my morning chores and had better get a move on.

When I saw that you had posted here Judy I immediately checked to see what your most embarrassing moment was. It took me a while to read it as I was reading the others. I had another lovely laugh from them.

I don't think I could ever pull off being a nurse - especially after reading all of these mis-adventures!
