Title: Chicken Soup
Post by: past94x on January 09, 2017, 02:21:15 pm
Can anyone recommend a good chicken soup recipe please?
It's supposed to keep the cold bugs away, isn't it?
I'd love to make some.
Thanks, in advance, so much.

Quirky Cooking Chicken and Lemon Soup (http://www.quirkycooking.com.au/2009/07/coconut-lemon-chicken-soup/) has good reviews past94x. ;)

Many thanks for that, but it seems this recipe needs homemade chicken broth in its ingredients.
I'm going round in circles, it seems.
Thanks anyway.

You could steam a whole Chicken in the varoma, add vegetables and herbs in the simmering basket and make stock that way. There is a recipe for Chicken and Vegetable Soup in the British Isles on a Plate page 58. It also shows you how to make stock from a carcass of a cooked chicken. A shame you don't live closer as I have a batch of chicken stock in my fridge LOL  ;D

If you are really desperate, why not cheat and use bought stock. I won't tell!
