I haven't baked mine in alfoil for some time, not because of this article, just because they are just as nice baked uncovered.  I love a crisp potato skin and you don't get that if it's been sprayed and wrapped in alfoil.

Thanks for sharing the information Julie, I went over to her blog and found a nice slow cooker potato recipe.

It's so scary when you read articles like this one, thanks for posting this and letting us know. 

I'm like Judy, I like the nice crispy skin of potatoes baked just in their skin so I'm glad I never used tin foil (and will never be tempted to so after reading this!).

Thanks JulieO. I don't use foil at home but do when we are camping. From now on I'll just throw them in the coals and peel the skin off.
