Does anyone know when her new book will be available for download please?
-
Hi past94x,
The new book Quick Fix: Every Occasion is actually available to download on iTunes today!
Here is the link: https://itunes.apple.com/au/book/quick-fix-every-occasion/id666187165?mt=11&ign-mpt=uo%3D4
The hard copies will be available next week.
Thanks so much for your interest,
Alyce

Many thanks Alyce - just downloaded it to my Ipad and can't wait to have a good read.
I know I'll love it. Thank you so much.
All I can say is "More, more, more, please!"
-
I've ordered the hard copy - cant wait for it to arrive!
-
downloaded last night and read this morning. Excellent.
-
Thought it would be. I shall be curling up tonight with my Ipad to have a good read. Can't wait.
-
interestingly noticed that on the first few pages the images are of popcorn...... but you can't make popcorn in a Thermomix!

I just downloaded this to my iPad mini and while there seem to be some great recipes I'm really dissapointed in the format. It almost looks like the book has just been converted to a pdf, in landscape mode I see both the recipe and picture but only in the middle of the screen thereby reducing the size to about 80% and in portrait mode the picture is the same but again only in the middle of the screen only taking up about 50% of the screen size. In both modes the writing is too small to read without zooming in. Unforutnatley my initial reaction is of disappointment.

I ordered the book, can't wait for the posty to bring it. ;D
-
Wonder it certainly does have a strange format and it will be a conversion direct from the printed version for use on e readers.
Recipes are good but I agree with the your comments.
-
I agree also Wonder, and it is disappointing because it just means you are continually readjusting the screen and its annoying trying to flick over a page. I've never come across this before in an e-book. Aside from that, I do like all the recipes. I made the roasted capsicum dip yesterday, and also the mussels. Both of which were enjoyed. (The mussel sauce stained my brand new serviettes :'() Might have a go at something else today.

Hi Alyce, any chance it will be available outside of Australia store? I'm in Indonesia. Thanks!
-
Thanks CP and Tim for confirming my thoughts. I really debated with myself buying this book as I've not had much luck with TMX books in the past, EDC - lots of wrong recipes, Tenina's dinner spinner - total disaster of a binding and useless unless you either make a copy or purchase something else to bind it with, and Tenina's christmas ebook which is also very difficult to scroll through and is basically a pdf booklet. For almost $25 I expected much more of this new one. I look forward to trying some of the recipes over the weekend.

Thanks so much for the interest from Indonesia! We do hope one day to be distributing hard copies of our books over there, but for the moment the cost is shipping is prohibitively expensive I apologize :(
Regarding the iBook format, I actually prefer this format over the format of QFITT iBook because it does look exactly like the hard copy (which was the intention!). Obviously though there are many different opinions on this and we will certainly take all on board when producing our next book :)
So glad to hear people are enjoying the recipes! Cheers, alyce

Hi alyce, apologies. I actually meant the iBook version. It's actually not available in the iBook Indonesian store.

Thanks for letting me know! It definitely should be. I will talk to my tech people and get back to you on this one next week.
Cheers!

Just out of interest, why the pop corn? I cite this as the only thing you cant cook in the TM when asked!
-
Hi Alyce, just a note, your other previous books are not available in iBook store outside of Australia. Would definitely purchase them if they're available!
-
I have the hard book version of QFITT so can't compare, but when compared to other ibooks which replicate actual books for some reason the pages are more difficult to turn and it only takes up a smaller % of the page which means the print is impossible to read without zooming. Maybe the set up doesn't work for the iPad Mini. I've got some photos I'm trying to post via Tapatalk to compare to what others are seeing.
-
Wonder I have both sizes, and the mini is def a lot harder to read. The bigger iPad is fine, but the QFITT ebook is comparitvely better than this one in the respect that its one page on the screen and easier to turn a page.
