Today - I'm travelling to a Conference in Sydney, so all I've made is a big container of Coleslaw, minus the dressing.  Yesterday I made the Cooked Salad Dressing from Commonsense Cookery Book (circa 1980), converted to tmx.  Taking both those up to the conference with me as I know catering tends to be low on fresh veg and high in white carbs, pasta etc.

Boring cooking day today....   :)

No cooking here lately - trying to empty the freezer properly then will refil with fresh food using my vacuum sealer!  :D
Missing cooking more than anything, but can certainly see huge gaps in the freezer now so definitely getting somewhere!!

Thanks for those links Judy, I've also got an excess of egg whites at the moment.

Made a meat loaf this afternoon.  Shared half with DS.

At long last I got around to making Tenina's granuesli, I subbed apricots and used honey. It's lovely. Will certainly make it again. Alice's banana cupcakes and a vege slice.

I made two batches of scones today. I used up all my buttermilks making jo's night tea scones, and then made Nay Nays scones and used up a tub of cream. Both recipes work well and the kids enjoyed their after school treat and I have plenty left over for our pageant brunch tomorrow.

Made some more taco seasoning today with less chilli than last time and mixed it with the spicier one I made last week. I also made a Cajun spice mix whilst I had all the spices out.
I cleaned out the cupboard under the sink as there was an awful stink due to a fermenting potato, so I made use of the red onions I unearthed from the cupboard  and have made a red onion relish :)
For dinner, I made a seafood chowder as its quite cool here today,  and a batch of bread rolls.
