Your mention of spag. bol., Chookie, reminded me of a near disaster my colleague at work experienced last week.  He was making it for dinner and discovered he had no sugar and all he could find was some strawberry jam ... so he put a dollop of that in.  He said it was the best spag. bol. he had ever had.  The following day I was reading an article about unlikely complementary tastes and tomatoes with strawberries was one, so the spag bol emergency turned out to be an acknowledged taste combination.

Tonight we are having a hummus pasta dish (I am pretty sure hummus and pasta did not appear in the abovementioned article!).
Marina, you might have to add something interesting to that dish.

LOL. I sometimes toss a couple of anchovies into my spag bog if I have any. I will have to try strawberry jam next time. We had a Tuscan Bean soup from Cook key. It was delicious and more a stew than a soup.

Spag Bol, anything sweet will take the acidic  edge off the tomato.  Honey, Maple Syrup .

Hot smoked salmon soufflé in the Varoma tray . With green vegies .
Butterfly lamb sounds like a hit for school holiday feed the hungry children .
