I got two of these trees in a raffle the other week. http://www.kmart.com.au/product/36cm-glass-tinsel-tree---red-green,-assorted/754431#

However, since then, they have both shattered upon the slightest knock. They have no weight in them and easily topple over and break. The glass is stupidly thin and sharp. I have suggested that Kmart stop selling them as they are really dangerous!

They do look nice Sarah but the base is definately not sturdy enough.  You were right to complain.

It could be a nasty accident with a little one at Christmas. You are right Sarah, they should be removed from sale. Perhaps let your local consumer affairs know.

The trees look lovely spersephone, what a shame they are so fragile.

My sweet DH came home yesterday with a TM21 for me as a surprise.  Someone posted on FaceBook a photo of one they purchased recently and I mentioned how nice it would be to have the three.  He was naughty buying it but lovely too.

I think that's really cool Denise. It's like having your own thermomix museum!
