Having been unsuccessful with my first lot of yoghurt, I thought I would give this a go. Do you leave the yoghurt in the thermomix overnight to stand or put it into another container?
Thanks

Could some clever person help me please? I love this site as I am getting lots of very helpful hints etc, but it is driving me MAD as it is all so slow to load. At least 50% of the time I am on here is waiting.  I have nothing else running while I am on here.
Thanks in anticipation. :'(

Questions? Technical Issues? The Survival Guide / Re: Yoghurt
« on: November 04, 2008, 02:32:10 am »
Well........I tried the yoghurt yesterday. I used low fat milk which perhaps wasn't the best idea but that's all we use. The flavour of the yoghurt was lovely but it was fairly thin. I think I will try again with a few modifications to see how I go. Perhaps the milk was still a little hot, although I thought it was cool enough. Will keep you updated! It was a lovely natural yoghurt drink.

Introduce Yourself / Re: another lot of greetings from Perth

Well I now have my Thermomix. We had a fun lunch when it was demonstrated and then I did coffee for the mob. This morning I've made lemon butter (tastes good), yoghurt, (will let you know how that turns out), the vegetable concentrate, and for dinner tonight we're having beef stroganoff.  So far so good. I'm slowly learning what things are for, and it's fun. ;D

CHRISTMAS / Re: xmas cooking classes
« on: November 01, 2008, 05:47:46 am »
Thanks Baf65. I live in Canning Vale and I see that there is a Back to Basics class in Applecross later in November. I thought I might try to get to that or one later as I'm sure I'll have lots of questions after I've had the thermomix for a bit.
I'm going to the morning Christmas session.  I hope you enjoy the pageant, it was always fun when we used to go.
Will look out for the sessions run by Loose Produce in Como-that's not far away. Thanks.

Me too Baf65. I asked everyone in the family if they'd like to come and they said no!. So I'm going by myself!  See it's the same day as the Christmas Pageant, not that it matters to me as my baby is 27.

I'm not sure if I am asking in the correct place or not, so please forgive me if I have made a mistake.  I've been looking through some of the recipes here and while most amounts are given in grams, spoon sizes are mentioned. (I can't imagine weighing out 1 teaspoon salt). Coould someone tell me are these Australian metric sizes or American please? Thanks in anticipation. (only 3 sleeps now!)

Thanks Tenina.  I'm sure you'll see me somewhere or other. It's easy to see that I'm looking forward to getting the thermomix.  Will be able to share all my successes and failures with you.  I'm also looking forward to adapting lots of tried and true recipes.

Introduce Yourself / Re: Hi im Alina... another Perthie :)

Thanks for the hint re failures Thermomixer.  I think I'm prepared for them. As someone said the worm farm enjoys them.  Will certainly get the iceblocks prepared. On the weekend daughter (who is 27) and I had a coffee at a well known coffee shop. (not sure if I can name it) She had a mango something or other. I watched them make it and all it was; was mango and iceblocks blitzed together. So TMX here we come.

Hi Alina0210.  I wonder what it is with all these people from Perth? Maybe it's just a good place to live. I was glad to read that you use your TMX everyday. It was my husband who has encouraged me to buy the TMX. After we saw one he was very impressed. Perhaps he will find it easier to use than the heap of other gadgets I have.

You are all very clever. I only have 6 more sleeps until my TMX arrives now. I'm getting very inspired by all these delicious looking things you are all making.
