Dinner today was a home brand frozen pie I found in the top try of my now nearly empty freezer. It was disgusting. But the vegies were good.

Dogs ate  most of my mine. Poor things have no palate.

Gert, where do these things keep appearing from? Was it under the duck?

The new fridge has a pull out drawer in the freezer that catches the ice cubes on one side and on  the other is a container that had some frozen peas in but UNDER the peas I found this pathetic  disgusting excuse for a pie. Must have been out of my mind to buy that or maybe it was a punishment pie.  I also found some  smoked salmon.

Everything is definitely gone except for  the prawns, the big hunk of beef and some boiling bacon.. Definitely.

I am very temptd to eat any protein in the pantry before shopping but do not think Spam is a meal item. Beans and lentils for a week?  There is tuna and crab. Gunna think on that . Might work and really clean out the pantry. I love H for starting all this.

How are you doing?

Thanks Hally, tomorrow I am going to wipe out the pantry and cook for the day..
Lots of room in the freezers now, so I can batch cook and freeze.

Menu plan done for the month,  ;D all good.

If the pie was punishment then you should have fed it to someone else. Maybe a certain someone that won't share his port.

I'm not making much headway with the freezer but have used up a few things in the pantry. this weekend I've asked DH to use up the pork belly for his DD and himself. I don't eat pork. I will have a tin of soup and toast. On the bright side i have nearly used up a tube of manuka honey body lotion. Thought i would do the least favourites first but coming to the end of the tube I'm quite enjoying it now and my skin is enjoying it too.

We had roast lamb & vegies, weber style tonight - another rushed meal seeing as I had been out but cooked and served up in just over an hour.
