How many instruments does your step dad play?

Only one at a time Gert.
His main instruments are all brass, but he used to be a drummer in a band, and since he owns a music business he knows how to play everything else as well. He was also a conductor for many years. He's very musically gifted.

Gert I love threadfin slamon. After eating it in Broome for 2 years I said I would never eat it again, but it didn't take me long to change my mind.

Dinner tonight is a stir fry. Szechuan chicken.

 ;D ;D

He taught me the basics. He said I was too talented to be playing the saxophone, so he bought me a trumpet, taught me a few fingerings, and I ended up playing repiano cornet in his band :)

It must be a pretty big band to accommodate a third cornet.  What type of music does the band play?

It was the brass band of our town Gert. We were A grade players, won lots of competitions. Repaino was the second position after the solo cornet, so I did pretty well to get up there. I started on third and moved up ;)
Our best concert was called "Swing When You're Winning", it was fantastic, we played heaps of old swing, jazz and blues music, and people got up and danced and had a great time ;D We also did a concert of Hymns in a church, and we did a circus themed concert one year as well ;)

Sounds like a lot of fun with lots of variety. That would keep you out of trouble for sure.

Hally, I have a DVD recording of our clown themed concert. I could bring it to the retreat and lend it to you if you wanted to have a look-see :)

Lol Gert :-)) Variety, yes. Fun, not always. Its an unfortunate story, so I won't go into details, but I don't play in the band anymore and step-dad doesn't conduct. The band has gone down-hill since he stopped going.
