I'm not sure if I am asking in the correct place or not, so please forgive me if I have made a mistake. I've been looking through some of the recipes here and while most amounts are given in grams, spoon sizes are mentioned. (I can't imagine weighing out 1 teaspoon salt). Coould someone tell me are these Australian metric sizes or American please? Thanks in anticipation. (only 3 sleeps now!)

any of my recipes are metric (aussie)
in my experience in cooking in general there's generally not enough difference to matter.

Thanks Brazen20au. Will keep this in mind.

Times when you may have problems are with pastries and cakes. But even with things like gelatin leaves - these vary in their strength. Sorry cookie1, as before, there will be some trial and error.
Most of the spoon measurements are close, cups also, but pints in US are 16 fl oz and UK 20 fl oz.
There are US - metric conversion charts on the internet if you are using a US recipe.
My recipes are metric, but they can vary from week to week in amounts - and salt especially is a matter of personal taste - start small.
