Cookie sounds like a busy day too ! Early night to bed reading my book , no energy left ...oh dear mother’s day and two enthusiastic kids . I can imagine crossiants Crumbs in bed and a possible messy kitchen at lunch , that’s fine I hope to get to relax and am thinking of things I would like to do at home . Enjoy Mother’s Day everyone.

I hope your day went well KAtie. I'm positive it is all done with much love and probably laughter.

Crossiants with fresh raspberries in bed ! DH came home and cooked salmon green beans and rice for all of us and his Mum . DD and DS mainly the later made a cake, from 9-12 am !! A lot of mess and then DS attempted to make Swiss meringue butter cream ... think it turned into sticky white mass ! Near fear mum to the rescue, whipped cream with a touch of sugar and vanilla paste . Think it is a three tier cake and decorated with sugared almonds ( thank you DS ) . DS made nachos and egg Jaffles for dinner ! Cake to follow . Yes lots of joy was had .

We went over to see my brother this morning (a round trip of around 85km) and on the way home we called in at MIL's house to check that the council had delivered the bin we requested. We will go over in the morning and fill it. I think I will be using muscles I didn't know I had. :D :D :D

A good workout will do you the world of good cookie.  No pain, no gain but take it easy.

Today the tiler has finished, still jobs to do but my Probus birthday party is approaching so I don’t want too many interruptions.  I bought the first of the party food today, have ordered the cake and from Thursday it will be full on preparation.  A pity the kitchen start was later than expected, I had hoped it was well and truly finished before the approach of the catering task.  At least I have a working kitchen, the painting can wait until next week.

If your catering is anything like the massive offering from previous years, Judy, you are certainly going to be flat out at the end of the week!

Enjoy the big cook up Judy.
I will be rather stiff tomorrow I think. I helped de-construct (smash) lots of very old furniture. DH gave me a sledge hammer to use. I loved it, but it was heavy to swing, but it broke stuff down easily. We managed to get all the old furniture left from MIL and the tenants smashed into flat packs and stack it in the bin that the council suppled. We found inches of cockroach droppings in some stuff that had been in the garage for over 40 years. Ugh.The first thing I did was shower when we got home.

I think the walking will be ok Judy, it’s my arms from swinging the sledge hammer and my hands from gripping it. Quite interesting really. 😀😀😀😀

Well done, Cookie.  A big job and you did well swinging a sledge hammer, they are not exactly lightweight.

I can understand that cookie, the first few times I went to the gym nothing ached except my hands from gripping the weight machines.  I’ve never had a hand ache in all my life so it was a strange feeling.

I was feeling quite proud of myself! Back to boring treadmill walking for fitness today.

I went shopping to a supermarket that I don’t usually use. I bought a few things that I haven’t seen in other stores.

OMG, I am exhausted reading what you girls have been up to.
Fairly quiet this week.  Voted yesterday and while out bought a hamburger for lunch. New shop ,very busy but the best bought burger I have had.  Took them down to the lake and watched the antics of the water fowl.
