DH and I are going to the Caravan and Camping Show today. I thought we would drive the car to the station, catch the train and go. He has just told me we will be catching a bus to the station, then the train. Wish I had never bought him that iPad, he can even work out the best way to go everywhere now.  ;D ;D ;D

LOL cookie.  People do become more knowledgeable with an iPad on their lap.  Have a great day.

My DH doesn't know anything about technology and has no wish to learn.  It takes him all his time to answer the mobile when it rings. :) :)

Same with mine.  He refuses to have a mobile or a credit card and says he is quite happy working with his tools and I can look after everything else (although he recently got a tablet and quite enjoys that  :o !)

I had planned to make some green slime cup cakes I saw a recipe for the other for DD to take to work. Unfortunately I didn't get to make them yesterday as I attended a funeral for a dear elderly gentleman who we meet up with at Monkey Mia every year.
Your celebrations at Morpeth look fun Judy.
I had a laugh at DH's and technology. I think they are all very similar.

My eldest daughter and I went to the zoo today for a cub scout gathering, and we were supposed to be seeing the King of Sweden, but as usual the event was a bit of a debacle and I don't know if he was there or not. There was a lot of waiting around to meet up - due to a fatal train accident which affected lots of people travelling into the event. Then there was a quick trip to a few animals to see some stuff, then our leader got a message that we had to head to the picnic area. Which was outside the zoo and around a 1 kilometre walk away. The poor little kids were exhausted before we even got there.

Once we arrived, we didn't know what we were supposed to do, and hung around for nearly an hour before they took a group photograph. And that was it. We were then sent off to do some activities, but they could only be done in groups of twenty, and we had only four cubs with our group, so we had to join another one. The actual activities seemed to be a little strange, and when we were finished, we were glad to be heading home because it had been a long day of doing nothing much but lots of walking around.

The funny thing is that many people decided to try to take public transport in as the event itself was scheduled for 10-4, so 6 hours. The parking at the zoo is for 5 hours. Because people didn't want to stress about being fined or having to leave and move their car, they descended upon the trains and trams instead. Then this accident happened and it caused a lot of groups to arrive very late. We were affected but still managed to get there almost on time, and waited around for an hour to meet the rest of our group.

It's upsetting to read of a fatal train accident. The children were probably wanting to see animals, not walk all over. I'm sure they will sleep tonight.

Yes, according to the news, it may have been an accident, not a suicide. Very sad.

Over here they aren't permitted to say anything publicly about train suicides. We have  2 friends who are train drivers. They are told if someone or something is on the tracks, apply the brakes and pull down the blind to block their vision of what is going to happen. One seems to cope well, the other always needs a bit of help. They have said it is amazing the number of times it happens. So very sad.

It would be hard to live with cookie and I'm sure the person involved doesn't give the poor train driver much thought.

We've just arrived home from taking some friends down to Fremantle. They are going on a 4 day cruise. This is their first time and they are both excited and scared, I think.

We brought the caravan out of the shed this morning and will get it ready for our trip to Narooma as soon as Easter is over.
