Thermaddict, does your challenge mean new recipes or can you count the same recipe twice?

Hally I believe she is making 1000 different recipes. So no repeats at all. It's a big challenge but I'm loving seeing what she makes next.

Thanks Dede.. yes all different recipes, but some similar meal will pop up from time to time. My family would go crazy without their favourites so I have found different variations of things like spaghetti bolognaise and shepards pie etc....

Made the Parmesan Sunflower seed crackers this morning and they got the thumbs up from DH.  These are really addictive.  Have a vegetable quiche in the oven at the moment for my dinner.  DH is having left over stew from last night.  I really don't like stew very much so he can have it all.  Used cookies cream cheese pastry for the quiche.  This was so easy to make and handle.  Thanks for the recipe cookie.

Oooh, cream cheese pastry. I will have to look that recipe up.
Today I've been cooking a loaf of bread. A bit of a flop of Tenina's tomato tart tartin.
(The pictures are in the review thread) and some butter for the bread.

We had lasagne for dinner tonight. I'm enjoying my new pressure cooker. I used my thermochef to chop lots of veggies(onions, garlic, carrots, celery, leftover roast potatoes and pumpkin, broccoli) to add to the meat sauce that I cooked in my new pressure cooker - it only took 15 mins to cook once it came up to pressure. We had half of the meat sauce with pasta 2 nights ago. Tonight I cooked a cauliflower in the pressure cooker ( 5 min) and then puréed it in my thermochef. I used my extra bowl to make a white sauce, but only made half my normal quantity. I then mixed half the cauliflower purée to the white sauce with some cheese and used this to make my lasagne. I popped it into the oven, nicked off to the supermarket to do the weekly shop, and dinner was ready when I got home! Not to mention that my son enjoyed ingesting lots of veges ;D

No cooking for me today, out for lunch and for tea we are having a big crab cocktail after a friend dropped 6 freshly caught crabs into us late yesterday afternoon.  First time I have ever cooked crabs, usually we get them given to us all ready to shell & and eat.

Can't be bothered cooking tonight, might be takeaway of some sort or even a sandwich.
I'm actually pooped, this hot weather is now annoying me. I would like some proper autumn weather please.

Me too hools003.

Judy the crabs sound wonderful. Hopefully we'll get some at Monkey Mia this year.

I made a date and walnut slice this afternoon.

No cooking here tonight either. Just left overs. I've spent the last 2 days in Southern Cross for work and didn't get home until after 6 tonight.
