The cake looks Katy.  Nice and decadent as a birthday cake should.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

A very impressive cake KAtie. I’m sure it was eaten with gusto.

Made a cabbage and pineapple salad for family luncheon at MILs . DD studied before during and after ! Ok so DD managed to take a quarter of her cake back to boarding school today ,plus numerous amounts of food for her exam on Wednesday. DS I hoped packed everything for camp tomorrow. Made it home all quiet , washing tying up , toasted sandwich for dinner ! Bed . Found DH snacking on said cake ! After pavlova, chocolate sponge and chocolate mud cake at lunch I was shocked he could even look at it ! May have to wake early for walk to be able to fit in any clothes .

After Katie's post above this about all that luscious food, I don't know if I should say this ... but today is day 1 of my Fast 800 diet then back to gym tomorrow.

You are an inspiration Marina. KAtie your DH probably works so hard that all the cake won't bother him. Most farmers do.

Marina I started on a keto diet at the weekend, enjoying the research for recipes. I’ve lost 3 kgs since starting at the gym so now hoping this way of eating will get rid of some fat! If Uni and Gert  can do it, it’s worth a try. Don’t want to lose too much - 7 kilos perhaps.

7 kilos is great Judy ... unfortunately I have to lose three times that many!  I started going to gym last year and really enjoyed it but then the renovations sarted and that completely messed up my schedule so now I am determined that I will get back into it again and hopefully, between that and the diet I will lose some weight and get a whole new wardrobe  :o!  (some hope!! )

Have been busy with visitor for a few days.  Great to catch up.
Lovely cake KAtie. Happy Birthday to DD.  Same age as our GD.
Good time to start diets , girls. Our visitor bought chocolates, cakes from the French Patisserie in Creswick, bread, cheese and wine. No diet this week. We went to the Spanish Restaurant on Saturday night and I cooked a Roast Pork lunch on Sunday.
Cookie, that is lovely for DH with photo of car in newspaper.

Congratulations to those amazing people dieting, just before Christmas, you are so good. Judy is the keto diet low carb and high fat? I don’t know much about it

I went shopping early to miss the heat.  I bought 2 beef roasts without looking at the price! One for tonight and one to make RTE Pastrami. Phew, meat has gone up.

I heard a lady ask for radishes. She was told “I don’t know if you have heard but there are fires where we get them from.” What a lot of food miles, I don’t know why they can’t buy them here.

Thanks Denise, it’s a start I guess.

Anyone can grow radishes cookie, they must be the easiest thing in the world to grow from seed.

Yes the diet is just that cookie.  Today I bought a few things needed for different recipes I’ve seen but need to go to Costco as well.

Judy, well done.  Go for it.  Gert has done amazing well on that diet.
Yesterday I made Cookies Nans fruit mince.  Today I am going to make the fruit cake using the mince. Keeping some for small tarts.
While it still cool, a bit of gardening.
