Ham is so useful to have in the fridge Chookie, is it any wonder Hally is on her 3rd or 4th one  ;D

I had this for breakfast this morning on toast.  Spreads much easier than vegemite ;)

I know it is so handy, especially in the hot weather.  But we will be sick and tired of it by the end of the week.  I don't think it freezes well, so we just eat it.

I really need to check our ham and cut off any of the left over meat. I don't think there is much left but if I don't do it tomorrow it will need to go in the bin  :(

Hally it is better to buy a large ham ,  rather than several small ones.  More meat,  less bone.
Judy ,  good idea with the cheese.
Made the Lemon Kefir Ice cream,  beautiful.  Could use yoghurt.  Will post recipe as very easy and good for hot weather. Much less fat than traditional Ice Cream.

I read with interest,  Gert's comments about how her Mum would add gherkin to the ham paste,  so I gave it a go.  I added gherkin relish to the ham and butter and a shake of  Worcestershire sauce and a little spice.  Lovely.  Worth a try
