I feel these have too much baking powder in. I could taste it over the almonds. I will use 2 teaspoons next time.

I did my grocery shopping this morning. Life has settled down a lot this week. DH is still lining cupboards etc in the motorhome.

I made these Almond Biscuits from RTE. They had 4 teaspoons of baking powder, it was too much. https://www.recipetineats.com/cretan-biscuits-greek-almond-cookies/

Tonight we are having a RTE recipe that she has recently emailed out. It has barramundi in it. https://www.recipetineats.com/creamy-baked-fish-on-potato-gratin/

Here I am with another oops. I made some shortcrust pastry for last night’s quiche. When I’d finished it I thought that it looked a bit dry so added some more water. Popped it into the fridge to rest. When I was rolling it out it seemed dry. I finished the quiche and cooked it. YUK. I hadn’t put very much water in at all. It was crumbly and tasted horrid. I later realised that I had spilled the water container, not put it into the thermomix bowl.
I must be more careful. Some lovely butter wasted and the quiche is hardly edible. The pastry looked reasonable but certainly wasn’t.
Oh well. 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀

Today was the day to pick up the Suzuki. It’s automatic so I have to remember not to try putting the clutch in. I plan to go and sit in it and play tomorrow. It’s not as smooth as my Hilux was. It has more gadgets but not a lot as it’s not a special car. It has lane departure and a few other things I will soon discover. It’s so tiny after the Hilux.

We went to the dentist this morning. I suggested to DH that we go to the Suzuki dealers to see what the delay was on a new Suzuki for towing behind the motorhome. We sort of bought one. They had exactly what we wanted so bought it. It should be licensed etc ready for me by the end of the week. DH spent the afternoon polishing and detailing mt lovely red terror as it will be going.

I went up to the Westfield this morning to sort out if my RAC membership will still entitle me to roadside assist with the motorhome. Fortunately it does. There are only a couple of places you can I sure it as it’s so big.

I’m itching to go somewhere but DH is adamant that it must be carpeted first (to protect the floor) and the cupboards lined with the non slide stuff (he’s correct). It’s also school holidays here. We will go away for only 2 or 3 nights at a time. Just u til we learn to manage everything. It’s all wifi and we have to learn to do it.

Dinner tonight is quiche and veggies.

We’re having a Chicken and Noodle stir fry. I’m making quick things as we have had a few friends drop round to see the new acquisition. These friends have a gorgeous little Fiat. So we invited it over to meet our big Fiat.
