Doesn't  Jo of Quirky fame do a lot of dehydrating of her foods?  Perhaps an email to her might help answer some questions.  She is so generous with her knowledge.

Well...mine didn't look pretty and I took a bite and thought, hmm, they're OK but nothing too special.  Next thing you know i had eaten seven and was fighting off my family from taking them away from me!!

These are Delish!!!

My Husband said I HAVE, like, H.A.V.E. to make these again.  They are super duper easy to make so will make them for my love for sure.  A nice grown up pizza pocket. Had ours with Beerenberg Tomato chutney.

Thanks for another great recipe Tenina!  :D

I always make this when someone I know is sick or going through a rough time.  I make it and buy a packet of "steam fresh" vegetable so they can microwave a bag of veges to put in their bowl and spoon the soup over. Yum Yum Yum!  :)

Hmmm.  I'm not too sure...I'm not a crepe "aficionado". ;)  Mine weren't that big nor pretty to look at but they still worked and tasted fine.  I guess really my time management was poor that night!!

This pie is divine!!!

I made it early afternoon to take to a family dinner where everyone had contributed.  It did get lost amongst all of the other typically very sweet desserts on offer.

However because there was so much of the pie left I was able to take it home and OMG it got better with age.  Would recommend this as a stand alone course and make it the day before.

5/5 for sure!!!

This is a great side dish.  Doesn't look pretty but appearance doesn't matter when it tastes so good.

Definitely use tomato paste and season accordingly.

This recipe is hand down my husbands most favourite and asks for it to be made most weekends!

I usually add 4 or 5 chillies and even then its not too hot.  I also use gravy beef and coconut oil in place of the ghee.

I have never made it by cooking the meat in the TMX but have it on a blub on the stove all afternoon.  DIVINE!

I cooked this last night and it was awful.  Inedible.  I cooked it in the TMX and did the optional step of blending up the whole spices.  I think this was a huge mistake because the cardamom taste was so strong it was like eating a mothball.

I will try it again but I wouldn't add as much cardamom and I would leave the spices whole.

I agree! I was so disappointed with this recipe.  I thought it tasted like soap and was inedible.

Its a shame because everything else I have cooked from this book has been excellent

Thanks for the welcome!

I have lurked on this site for so long and rarely make anything in my thermo without looking it up here  first that I thought it time to make a contribution.

I had been wanting to try this recipe for a while and what better time to try it than Good Friday?

The mistake I made in the recipe was the make the crepes immediately before the whole dish.  This made for a late dinner!  If only I had made them a bit earlier on that would have been better to ward off some grumbly bellies and the "whens dinner ready?' every 3 seconds.

This is a lovely lovely dish.  The flavour of the spring onion blitzed up in the crepe batter was beautiful.  I was worried the dish would end up too "lemony" but it was perfect.  Did need a goodly amount of seasoning though otherwise I followed it to the letter.  Served with smashed potatoes and salad.  My ten and seven year old gobbled it up!!!  (oh, and us of course!)

A beautiful meal that would impress for a dinner party.

Thank you Tenina for another gorgeous recipe I am sure to make again.  Can't wait to try it with prawns instead of salmon. :D
