Hi,

I'm looking for just a plain and simple vanilla cupcake recipe. Any ideas?

From memory the recipe doesn't have vanilla in it - so just add your own - YUMM this is the standard recipe we use at home now for the all important "Fairy Wing Fluffies" aka Butterfly cakes...

My basic one is:

225gm butter and 225gm caster sugar, cream.
add in 4 eggs, one at a time. Add in vanilla extract.
Sift in 225gm self raising flour, fold through.

That's it!

180 degrees until browned (10-12 mins)

Plenty to choose from Green. Basic cupcake recipes are great as you can add what ever you like to that to make lots of different recipes weather it be savory or sweet.
