Not much cooking being done here but the GD said she is sick of cold meat and salad so I am making her some meatballs in tomato sauce for tonight despite the hot weather here in Perth (she's worth it).

I'm making a birthday cake for DD. It is the first time I have made this recipe. It has bits of apple and strawberry cooked in it. It's a BBC Good Food recipe. I'll give the link if it turns out ok as quite a bit of it can be done in the thermomix.

I made Isi's Portuguese bread rolls and TAT's Apple, Sultana & Banana cake from her blog http://www.davidcolden.com/2014/04/10/thermomix-apple-sultana-and-banana-cake/ to take on a picnic. It was a lovely moist cake - I replaced the sultanas with cranberries as DD doesn't like sultanas   I also made a custard which I'll churn tomorrow for icecream.

Nothing here today. I have been out all day. I made a picnic loaf for dinner tonight as I knew I wouldn't want to have to cook.

This is the cake I made yesterday with its strawberries on.
