Some great laughs on this thread - miss you ladies!!

From what I've been reading pluses and minuses to both machines - if I could have two I'd def go with one of each! But as a busy home cook who loves the varoma and scales (to shorten my cooking time by a lot) and doesn't do much baking/sweet cooking then I'd go the tmx. Though the higher temps for cooking onions etc and turning off the blades are two big bonuses for the hmp.

Would love to hear more from those that have both as to what they think.
I read that original blog comparison but omg how biased was that.

Have a couple of friends looking to buy so would be good to point them to some unbiased info on both machines.

Hi Denise!!!

Thank you, just what I wanted.

I use so many different recipes but not 100% happy with any of them.

Who has a great basic muffin recipe (savoury or sweet or both please), that you can just change the flavouring around?

Thanks

Made a chocolate version of these tonight.
Chopped chocolate and then pretty much followed the recipe as suggested (no jam etc)
They were so yummy!

Everyone was impressed and asked for them again. So quick and easy, cook whilst dinner is being eaten. (and as the oven is out of order, don't need the oven, lol).

Great idea, will have to dig the bread maker back out of the garage and give this a try.
Thanks

Maddy, I'm not a girly pink person at all but your kitchen is stunning! It's like something from a film, unbelievable.

I'm not a baker/cake maker etc, I don't have a sweet tooth so little interest so just make a few tried and tested recipes and always to a recipe.
But main meals I often make it up as I go along, know what to put in, rarely weigh/measure and just go by instinct or taste.
Though I do love following recipes, but often I'll tweak them due to ingredients I don't eat/don't have.
But no way could i go on masterchef as there are some real basics that despite many many times cooking I would have to look up the recipe (I think it's a bit like driving, if someone has always directed you/used gps then it's harder to learn where you are actually going)

Made this today.
So easy to make in the tmx.
I made the almond meal, then chopped nuts (used mixture of almond/cashew/macadamia as don't like walnuts), both set aside, chopped and melted the choc and butter, added the rest of the ingredients as per recipe. Really quick and easy.
Wow so rich and decadent.
