So sorry to hear about the passing of your sister Megan . I have two younger sisters in the UK and can't begin to imagine what it would be like to lose one.

News about Thermomix / Re: New Model Thermomix, truth or rumour?

As I see it, all this curiosity and rumours about a new thermomix coming out is all good FREE publicity for vorwerk. It's like a soap opera and everyone is waiting to see who done it lol. I was going to buy a second thermy early on in the year but when the rumours started I decided to wait. As someone else said, we are all thermy addicts. I can't wait to see what the new baby looks like ha ha and hearing all the rumours there must be a new one coming.

Have heard that if you want to purchase a Thermomix there is a three week wait as there are none in stock at the moment.

Thanks for your report Denise. We are building a new house so I have been looking around for a decent oven etc. your report has now convinced me to go with miele and to go to the demo first. Thanks

I have made this pastry a few times now and it is delicious, definately my go to pastry recipe from now on. I am yet to add sugar to it for sweet pies but will definitely give it a go at some time .

Thanks cookie

Questions? Technical Issues? The Survival Guide / Miele steam oven
« on: June 20, 2014, 06:55:22 am »
I am thinking about getting a miele steam oven but was told recently that our perth water can damage it within a year. I'm not sure if this applies to all steam ovens. I want to buy the miele because it is a very dependable brand,I already have the washing machine and have no complaints. Has anyone had any problems with steam ovens due to our water in perth.

Hi kezza, sorry for the delay, we have jarrah floorboards but not high gloss. My DH says the spray should be fine on the high gloss boards but I will leave that up to you.

I'm Augusta and I'm number 34' I like lots of jo's recipes, among them, is brown rice and chicken soup, chicken stock, fried rice and the list could go on.

I have used the recipe jamberie has posted dividing it into three logs with different additions and freezing. It works well.

I made this today using Cookie's variations plus added tablespoon umami paste and used cream instead of carnation milk. Delicious, came out really smooth.

Welcome to the forum Nidhi. If you decide to buy, after a while you will wonder how you ever did without a thermomix.
