Thanks Marina. He said it’s feeling easier. He has the stitches out on Friday. The cut is very long but the specialist got it all.

I did the grocery shopping this morning after a visit to the doctor to get a referral for a bone density test on Friday. The machine is at the GP’s so we are invited to go every 2 years

KAtie, enjoy your holiday after a rough start.
New Tai Chi teacher yesterday.
I’ve been digging out Bay trees and giving them away. My raised garden beds will arrive next week.

That sounds lovely KAtie. Did you see any crocs at the Daintree or Cape Tribulation?

DH has had an offer on his house that used to be his Mum's. So we went to the agent for him to sign the acceptance form. Hopefully it will all be smooth sailing.

Going to a Mushroom farm just outside Ballarat with DD. As well as mushrooms they sell a lot of local products.

No crocs seen . Bush turkey , blue butterfly 🦋, wild pig .
Yesterday we sailed to low isles snorkelling. A wild day . Saw a rare turtle 🐢 , coral and fishes . Sunset on way home . Pool swim when we got back . Out to dinner ! All very sleepy , early night .
The wind was bad when we arrived like the sand was blowing up on us . Settled down and saw beautiful marine life .

That would be exciting Chookie.
I went to have my bone density scan this morning. When I went in the lass said she couldn't do it as I didn't fit the criteria that medicare set to have it sone. Apparently, my bones are too good. I told her to go ahead and do it and I would pay if necessary. She was quite happy to do that. Silly medicare rules.

It’s hard to understand Medicare rules cookie. When I had my last bone scan, although the results were OK the girl said that I qualify for 2 yearly scans. Not sure why, something to do with having radiation perhaps?

Halfway through my commitment to check in on my DD’s MIL every day since her knee replacement. It sure fills my days and there’s less downtime for me but I enjoy being useful to someone and it is appreciated.  She tells me to sit down and read a book whilst she showers but I tell her I prefer to do some jobs, in real life that wouldn’t be the case but that’s what I’m there for.

So much to do and see up there K Atie, on the go all day can be tiring but it’s fun and good for the soul.

Can’t wait to see your new garden beds full of plants Chookie and I bet the bay tree gifts are appreciated. I would have grabbed one if I lived near you. I have plenty of dried ones from a neighbour’s Mum whose street is lined with them. Wish the council would plant more of them instead of those deciduous trees they seem to prefer in some of the older areas.

We went to the local farmer's market this morning then to our local butcher who had a market day special on most meats including lamb cutlets so I bought some for dinner tonight.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Not a lot. DD and I had a coffee and DH has gone up into the hills to help a young Model A enthusiast.
Judy that is lovely of you.

Well done Judy. Wondered what you were up to.
K Atie what a lovely holiday you are having. Enjoy every moment.
Mab, nothing like a Farmers Market.
Cookie, lovely about the strong bones.
DD and I went to the mushroom farm but it was a very sad visit. The 2 very brave girls who took over the business about 8 years ago, are struggling. They can’t buy the mix that the mushrooms grow in at a price that is competitive. Only the very big farms have survived COVID. They are still supporting small local farmers and businesses in the region.
At 7 pm on Friday night 2 of my smaller garden beds arrived.  These are self watering ones. Yesterday, a friend came to visit and insisted on assembling them. I made her lunch while she did this. Today, Bunnings to buy potting mix.
Spent a lovely day on Friday with DD. We had Japanese lunch and she showed me how to use the car wash.

Nothing as yet - currently -3C!!!  I am sitting on top of my heater.  If it is this cold here, I hate to think what it is over at Chookies at the moment

A great holiday, never long enough. We managed a few hours by the pool and had a hit of tennis. Early walk on four mile beach yesterday back to pack up . Stopped at Palm beach to airport . Flight home seemed to take ages . Jetstar managed to give us complimentary food , not sure how but we each got 4 iteams like 60$ worth ! Maybe it was we volunteered at exit row ( another story there ) DD had food for collage and all happy ! They charge for tea ! Rude shock cold Melbourne. Collected cars and off DD went and us . On the way home boys got to stop to get Milk 2 degrees. The house was freezing. All good now warmed up blaring heaters and fire .

So sad about the mushroom farm Chookie.
It seems to be cold everywhere at the moment. I remember waking up during the night and seeing that it was 2 degrees. Nothing as cold as you Marina.
