I'm sure you are enjoying your little holiday Chookie.

Off home today, via Vic Market.   Don’t know where the time went.  Wanted to visit Marina but ran out of time. Next time.
Lygon St on Tuesday was very busy.  Only saw 2 shops empty.  Collins Place, attached to Sofitel is a different matter.  More than 1/2 non food shops closed.

Sounds like you've had a good time Chookie it's great to have a few days away.

Just a couple of photos of my area.  The new jetty which is part of my morning walk.  You can see how big it is if you notice people spread out around the circle and a drone photo of our friendly dolphins.  :D

Julie, that is amazing. Are they sharks?
Our trip to Melbourne was a real eye opener. So many people have lost their jobs.  Any slight relaxing of the rules is welcomed.
GD did a great job getting us home.  She is a good driver. She coped well with driving a different car as the indicators are all on the opposite side in German cars. Also coped well  with the big trucks that speed on the freeway.
Took me quite a while to unpack. ! I vacuum packed the seafood.
Marina, no cooking for you for a few days.  Well done.

Well done to your GD Chookie. I can almost imagine how Melbourne must look. So sad. DD and I went into the city this morning to select and buy her birthday gift. We hadn’t been in since before Covid. There are so many shops that are gone and others boarded up. We were shocked and I would imagine Melbourne is worse.
I’m glad you enjoyed your break Chookie.

Hello all from the Uk.
Hope you’re all managing? Those photos are amazing of the jetty and dolphins, a tonic in wet grey December for sure.

Can you help me please I’m seeking the chocolate fondant recipe (melting middle puddings) and can’t find it anywhere... going to take to my son’s for Christmas along with the easy sticky toffee pudding.

Considering a deconstructed choc soufflé eg make the roux here and take it and the egg whites to mix there. Am going to experiment this week.
Hoping I will get there as we are all being careful and the risk is low, and all her family have already delivered their presents for me to take!
Have a wonderful time, and sending good wishes to you all xx
Sarah

Yes thanks so much Denise, brilliant Just what I wanted I am making it and taking to London next week. As I’m being careful and they are too, we all work from home and I’m in a single bubble with them. I’m only going to their flat so it should be fine. We all work from home and I went for my last food shop today, apart from one pick up next week. Strange times. Hope all well with you and DH, DD and GS. Xxx

I’ve been MIA for a while as Ral slipped in the shower and has ended up in hospital.  Long saga of getting ambulance etc.  He is improving and not injured but has a UTI.  Not nice. Should be out for  Xmas.
I have been given an amazing Xmas cake recipe that has jus 4 ingredients.  If time allows will share.
