another lot of greetings from Perth
« on: October 22, 2008, 07:57:39 am »
Hi everyone. I have only just ordered my TM but I am very excited about it. I'm looking forward to using it and reading all the information you have here. I just hope I can find my way round the forum as I am not very computer literate at all.

Thanks Tenina.  I'm sure you'll see me somewhere or other. It's easy to see that I'm looking forward to getting the thermomix.  Will be able to share all my successes and failures with you.  I'm also looking forward to adapting lots of tried and true recipes.

Well I now have my Thermomix. We had a fun lunch when it was demonstrated and then I did coffee for the mob. This morning I've made lemon butter (tastes good), yoghurt, (will let you know how that turns out), the vegetable concentrate, and for dinner tonight we're having beef stroganoff.  So far so good. I'm slowly learning what things are for, and it's fun. ;D

Congratulations Cookie1 for reaching the 5 stars required for Hero Member - I know you are away at the moment but could not let it go unnoticed.

Thank you Judy and Thermomixer. Singapore was wonderful, we spent lots of time shopping and eating. We got back home about 3 am Monday morning. DD and I had a awesome time. I didn't spot any Thermomixers over there though. Perhaps they had them hidden out the back.

I know that they have them there - but how many do you see here in Australia?

The only ones I have seen are in the Grill at Grossi Florentino and when I was fortunate enough to do a quick tour out the back of Vue de Monde (where they had a TM21 and TM31).  Tetsuyas have a couple - but I haven't seen them, even when I had a quick look round the kitchen.  Philippe Mouchel has one..... They aren't usually on show - only us Bimbettes seem to be keen to spot them.  ;) ;)

I didn't spot any Thermomixers over there though.

I am trying to keep a low profile, so Thermomixer-spotters may do well to see me.  ;) ;) ;) ;D

Ooh, poor English and from a teacher too!  :-[ :-[ :-[ I did mean Thermomixes, I guess the thermomixers would have been harder to spot.
