Biscuits not so bad. I’ll get a friend to try them tomorrow and see what she thinks. Preparing chicken legs with raisins and almonds, for lunch tomorrow. A Guardian recipe. Smashed potatoes and zucchini and tomatoes. Belgium Lemon tart. Haven’t made this for a while. From my Blog.

Got home late so made a prawn and mayo sandwich. Had made some long bread rolls so used 1/2 with lettuce from garden. I find the large prawns better value than the small ones.

What a disaster. Made some biscuits and they were awful. Waste of good ingredients. Will try one again today and if still think them awful will chuck out.

Created a low carb recipe for Prawn pasta. Only 50 g of gluten free pasta. Tomato based with large prawns cut in half, mushrooms and water chestnuts. Lots of parsley and onion tops. Tonight, something similar.

Mab, seems like you could make a soupy broth from that. New way to make chicken parmigiana. Kids liked it, not so fatty. Line baking sheet , lay thin chicken slices on it. Spread tomato sauce then panko crumbs, then Parmesan. Bake moderate oven 10 minutes. Cover with melting cheese. Bake 5 mins. I used turkey breast . Tonight, prawn pasta.

Marina and Mab, both sounding positive. Great. I’ve been doing some research on flour and bread baking.

Marina, glad you have come through the op ok. Lots of reading time coming up. Mab, good that you can taste. You are a very good cook so I think you will be wonderfully creative. Monday is always my busy day. Tai chi, mah jong, and kids for dinner.

Margaret, how do you make a pastie without using pastry then.
Judy I just make the pasties as normal for everyone and take the pastry off mine then chop up the cooked meat and veg in the tmx and add some gravy or sauce. A lot of mucking around but it works.
It’s good that we are such an inventive lot. The TMX has encouraged us to think outside the circle. GS and friends for dinner. I’m making turkey schnitzel, mashed potatoes, peas and Portuguese Custard tarts. Garlic bread essential.

Gym this morning, then trip to Office Works. Bought a small ice making machine from Amazon. The previous one died after many years of use. Also small gift boxes and bags so I can give jam and cakes in something nice. Marina, thinking of you.
