Jactela - I made this last night. It was delicious but found that the 6 seconds chopping the cabbage etc produced a mash. The first lot I threw out, it looked gross so with the second lot, I chopped the cabbage and apple for 4 seconds switched to reverse added the cream, sultana's and salt. It was still a little mashed but much better than the first one.

As my picture shows, I've suddenly become younger :-)  DD was of the opinion that her picture should be here, not mine!

;D Lots of German salads have cream or yogurt or sour cream in them.  Not something I would have thought to add myself, but I love German salads (except their pasta salads, which I'm not keen on).  I haven't come across a nation to match them in it as yet, so I'm always willing to give a German salad recipe a go, even if it doesn't sound good to me.  9 times out of 10 I love it. Could just be my personal taste, of course!  Particularly as most people love German food, and I'm not very keen on a lot of it.

Lots of the cooks from the Barossa Valley in Sth Australia were of German descent and I had a recipe book with intersting combos - but I love that weird stuff.

Ooooops - that is so annoying - for salads I watch carefully nowadays.  So quick from salad to slush  :( :o :o

Ain't that the truth!  I made carrot salad yesterday - but the first batch of 'grated' carrot ended up as carrot cake for pudding today!  A throwaway comment to  someone meant the carrots were in for 5 seconds instead of 3.  Ah well, we really enjoyed the cake.
