Title: Recipe Review-Summer Ice Cream Torte
Post by: cookie1 on December 28, 2009, 07:05:07 am
Summer Icecream Torte
2010 Calendar January
Tweaking

Probably the most important tweak I made in this was the size of the tin I put it in. The recipe says a 13cm tin, but I don't know if this was a misprint or what.  I used a 23cm spring form tin.
I didn't use the rosewater.
Next time I will cut the grapes into halves or quarters, depending on the size of the grape.

It is a lovely refreshing, not overpowering icecream torte.

Flavour and Recipe    5/5

No Tenina says on her blog that it is 13cm for a deep torte or double the amount for a 23cm pan

I obviously should have read that. I found that amount in the 23cm pan was fine. It was about 3cm high and served lots of people with other sweets. Added to the fact I made it in the 23cm, was the fact that I didn't have a 13cm tin.
