We get half a caravan each this year! Although I have tucked a couple of small gifts under the tree too. Bunnings gift cards are the perfect size. We have our anniversary on the 27th so he will get some more then.

Just in time for Christmas slicing Katj.
A few years back my SIL was helping carve meat for Christmas lunch at my place.  He tells my DD to 'put a carving knife on the list to buy for your Mum'' which she did for Mothers' Day.  They are still going strong but I no longer host family at this time of the year.

Cookie, I had a smile at the date of your wedding anniversary. You must have been teachers. Ours is in January. 1/2 a caravan each sounds pretty good to me.
Judy, it is always handy to have good knives.

So true Chookie. DH was actually doing his National Service at the time. (when you got balloted for conscription) and we knew he would be home for Christmas. Boxing day had exorbitant charges so we went for the next day.

Thank you. It was a long time ago (44years) and yet in many ways it only seems like yesterday.

Agree with both comments. It will be 53 years for us this January.

That's lovely Chookie.

DH wants to buy another fridge for the van as we only have a small fridge. He was looking at the Angler 240v esky type ones but they are $1400 for the size we want and then was looking at bar fridges which we would have load and unload. I've put him off for now. It defeats the purpose and simplicity for me of being in a caravan. You may as well hook up the house and take it on holiday. For now we have the drinks in an esky with ice.

We have an Engel that stays in the car Mich. We bought our first one 36 years ago and we are now on our second one. It's good when you leave the van behind and go off in the car, you can pack a sandwich in there and cold drinks.

So it's an Engel (must DH's funny/weird accent  :-))). How many litres is it Cookie? May be able to find one second hand.
