Mab, enjoy your new machine. Good run from old one.

The local service station has a IGA and a take away hot food section. One of the most population take away item are large round Jaffles. The machines are commercial. They make 4 at a time. I’m tempted but have resisted. However Woolies have large fill triangular shaped ones on special. I bought one. The interesting thing is that a slice of bread from the small loaf made in the bread machine fits perfectly. I hate the edges that you have to trim when you use a large loaf. And yes, I do have a place for in on my appliance shelf.

Sounds good Chookie, I’ll be interesting to see what type of fillings you use.

I’m thinking of trying different casings . Maybe mountain bread or similar in the Jaffle machine. Judy fillings , no problem. Almost anything.

Our AF gave up on Thursday night. So today I bought a new one. I got a Philips again. Some of them are very large and multi purpose. We’d be lost without it as we use it several times a week.

Cookie, I use my AF at least once a day. I cooked chicken wings in it last week. Cooked beautifully crisp. Put a dessert spoon of arrowroot flour with a pinch of baking powder and salt and pepper into a paper bag. Added wings and gave it all a good shake.
I love how the basket fits in the dish washer.

I brought the new Vac seal wand and two small glass containers and a larger one . On sale at The Mix Shop. They came very quickly . So i tried them out with Raspberries!! Gosh it’s like air has been pumped into them . Today I put some strawberries into the larger one , will check them tomorrow. They are vacuum sealed ,it’s very easy . Even taught DH how to use it .

I bought them a while ago. I used the smaller one for berries and found it amazing. They stay lovely for a couple of weeks.
I saw a brilliant idea on Facebook several weeks ago for storing strawberries. It was to store them in a jar. They kept lovely and fresh for a while.

I’m getting rid of all my plastic containers and switching to glass. I have 2 vacuum sealers but haven’t used either since shifting.

I have started pulling away from plastic containers as well. I purchased some of the "flat stack" silicone containers and they are fantastic as they collapse very flat for storage and the lids are colour co-ordinated with the base so always easy to match everything up. However, some of them retain the silicone taste so I am starting to pull back from them unfortunately as I was hoping to have all my containers neat and tidy in my drawer. Very disappointed. I also have quite a few glass containers that I am now starting to use once again.

These are heavy glass containers and yes take up a lot of room in the fridge . But a great idea .

I bought 2 sets of glass containers with colour matched lids from Aldi. Very easy to clip lock.

Just bought a new laptop computer and it's taking a bit of getting used to. So many ads, driving me mad so I have got to suss out a decent app to get rid of them ... or at least cut them down before I go completely batty!

Marina, enjoy your new computer.
Had a shopping day in Lygon Street and Melbourne.
Bought 2 cook books, ( more on these later ), a large block of Parmesan cheese and a packet of small Italian Biscuits. They are jam. filled. I’ll copy these. A pair of long socks that are imitation sheep wool lined. They are for the winter when you are reading.
In DJ ‘s , 2 tops, a Le Creuset baking sheet and a Le Creuset 12 hole square cake pan. A dramatic table cloth with large bunches of grapes to cover the glass table. Some Makeup.
