Well done Marina. Very time consuming and nerve racking.

The renovations are partcularly challenging at the moment because we are going to Canada on Saturday for 1 1/2 weeks and just now is a bit of a 'crunch' time for some plumbing items and white goods - making sure everything is co-ordinated before we go away and delivered at the correct place at the correct time is challenging!  Anyway, we can only do what we can do, and I hope all will be well.  There are one or two wee delivery glitches, but fingers crossed that everything will work out without too many problems..

The build is scheduled to finish early in January, but we are thinking it is more likely to be October / November time ... we hope!  I suspect the January date is just to cover the builders so that they can avoid late completion penalty fees.

That recently happened with my brother Marina. He was coming home from interstate and had scheduled his house to be completed in March. It was ready at the end of December. He happily retired a little early and shifted in.

That's good news and gives me hope, Cookie.

Off to buy some lights this morning - a 7 lamp cluster for the stairwell, a corridor light and wall lights for the two bedrooms; bought the oven, rangehood, cook top, fridge and dish washer yesterday and will pay for the outstanding plumbing ware tomorrow ... thank goodness we are going to Canada on Saturday so that our poor old bank account will get a rest and time to recover (a bit)!
