No cooking here today.

I made the Chocolate Christmas cake that Chookie made. Wow! It is extremely tasty. I actually left out all the sugar and it is still plenty sweet enough.

That one is on my list too, Cookie.  Good to read your comment about sugar.

The first night we are back home I’m going to make some custard and we will have a slice of this, warmed up with the custard. I could easily make myself ill by eating all of it.

That does sound a nice cake Cookie.  I might make a half a recipe, will see how much batter there is and try and choose a suitable sized tin to bake it in.

I recently made a steamed Christmas Pudding from a recipe put out by ThermoKitchen.  Again I halved it to make just 1 pudding which was steamed in a pudding tin in the Varoma.  DH loved it served with Thermomumma's custard.  I think i will definitely give this one a try.  :)

I would only make half a recipe too Julie, no-one in my small family eats fruit cake and I’m sure the chocolate part of the cake wouldn’t make them change their minds.  Friends can be relied on to have a piece though, I couldn’t eat it yet either.
