Main Dishes / Re: Bacon, Leek and Tomato Risotto - cookie1

I made this for dinner last night.  It was really tasty, even my 'risotto-hating-husband' enjoyed it and after commenting that it's not bad, requested the left overs for lunch.   ;)

Babies and Kids / Re: Playdough
« on: November 19, 2009, 06:20:28 am »
I've made this playdough three times already, but everytime it is a crumbly mess and SUPER oily.  If I trow the crumbs on the benchtop and knead it, it becomes a really nice playdough.  I'd like to avoid the manual kneading part, what am I doing wrong? ???

Also... don't put the TM on top of its power cord... it throws out the measures.

Potato, leek and pea puree

Ingredients:

250ml stock
60g frozen peas

Preparation:
Wash leek thoroughly and chop in TM
Add butter and cook on 100 for 3min
Add potatoes and stock
Cook on 100 until potatoes are nearly tender (approx 15-17min)

Special Diets / Any Diabetic dessert recipes out there?
« on: November 16, 2008, 01:51:39 pm »
My dad's a sweet-loving, insulin dependant diabetic.  Apple/rhubarb crumble with equal and fruit salad is getting a little boring... does anyone have any ideas for diabetic desserts, please?  Thanx

Introduce Yourself / Hi from Tanya
« on: October 14, 2008, 05:16:13 pm »
Hi All

I'm a mum of 1 and have had my TM for nearly 18months.  My mother in law bought it as a gift; I always wonder if she was worried that her then 6 month old grandson would only get bottled food, so she bought something to ensure he has a decent feed. Well it's worked, my young man has never had a taste of any bottled food.  And with the TM being so quick and easy, hubby and I have more nutricious meals as well.  I have recently made the chilli mussels from the Varoma cookbook and it was really delicious.

I'm a huge TM fan and look forward to sharing recipes.
