TMX quick comfort food ideas for cold/flu?
« on: July 02, 2012, 11:42:47 pm »
Hi. Currently I've got a household full of sniffling and coughing boys.... 😷
The weather been going hot and cold, cold and hot...
I guess it is inevitable that the boys will catch the sniffles ...😔
Even i feel a bit under the weather last few days with sore throat n blocked nose.

Any idea for a quick tmx meals, or even snacks or desserts? Just to lift the boys'   spirits and mine too!! 😄
Nothing to complicated pls.... I have to divert my energy to cuddling two cranky boys 😌

What about ILB choc cake, quicker than a packet cake or some M&M cookies. These are always a hit in our house. Or some custard with stewed fruit.
Exercise is a dirty word... Every time I hear it, I wash my mouth out with chocolate

My boys love smoothies when they are sick.  I load them up with almonds, chia, yoghurt, honey, bananas and oranges to give them lots of nutrition when they are not eating.

Porridge is also another hit

And make up some of alyce alexandra turkish apple tea for you - it's loaded with honey and lemon

My daughter is sick.. I have been using cloves and cloves of garlic to try and ward off any sickness my way!  ;D So far so good! She is not eating much which means adult meals for us and toast for her! Loving the curries!

Chicken soup always works..

Garlic and cheese on crackers for colds.

Yes raw garlic.
This is funny but it works, if you have a kid with a cold, put a raw garlic clove under there foot, and stick it on at night with elastoplast.

Thx everyone. I guess garlic, garlic and lots of extra garlic is the key here. Will incorporate garlic to anything we eat if i can for the rest of winter. Thx for replying 😊
