It's great that your diabetes is stable after the turmoil of the past few months, Chookie.  Despite everything, you are obviously doing the right thing for your health - for you, I think that taking care of your health would be instinctive anyway.

Well done Chookie. As Marina said you have had more important things on your mind.

Just asking Cookie an admin question, what happened with the forum the other day not being able to find the page ( what do you call it ) . I know in the past we have not been able to get in and sorted that out . Also it does maintenance now and then but thought we were warned of that . Anyway no issue at all just curious as to what happened. As Judy said thatnk you Cookie .

KAtie I simply sent an email to MM, who lives in Portugal, so we have a time factor involved. He gets in touch with his IT man, who hopefully fixes it as soon as he can. I have no idea what the problem was as he simply emailed and let me know it was going again.
Sometimes it takes a while but this time it was quickly sorted. Sometimes MM doesn’t see the email from us for a while either. Hope that helps.

Not sure about the maintenance KAtie, perhaps it’s done when Australia is asleep.

I couldn't open the forum for about week and had about given up on it - I thought perhaps MM had decided to "pull the plug".  It was merely out of curiosity that I tried to open it again yesterday and was very happy to see that it was there again  :)

It's good to be back with you all again.

I have a pair of white ring neck doves who have chosen one of my hanging baskets to nest in, what lovely birds they are. I’ve never had them here before so I’m super excited to see them raise their family right outside my back door. They’re used to me going in and out many times a day, although one was spooked when I went out yesterday to pull down the shade blinds as it was quite a hot day. I love it when they coo each other to change over shifts.

How lovely, Judy.

Last year I had the same thing, but it was a wild bird and mother always flew away as soon as anyone came near ... to this day, I do not know what sort of bird it was.

That is lovely Cookie. At Invermay we had Spotted Pardalots who make a hole in the dirt of a bank. They are quite tame. The best I can have here are Magpies. However I do like their song. The swans are hatching their babies. 5 seems to be the popular number. They have had to fence them in this year as they started to wander towards the busy roads. We even had a few on our wetlands.

Judy that is very special. We have a dove nest in our olive tree and another in our lemon tree. The nests are so fragile that a good wind and they will fall out.

Yes I noticed Chookie but I thought you’d discover your mistake sooner or later LOL.
Mine didn’t even make a nest cookie, it’s just sitting in the pot on the foliage which will obviously die. I hope to be able to take a photo of the family when and if it happens, being so low it won’t be hard for me to get one.

Judy, what a lovely photo.

DH loves birds, so much so that he started feeding a few doves when we first moved here.  We now have about 30 doves, 8 crested pigeons, 1 crow called Russell and a family of wattle birds come for breakfast every morning.  As well we have a family of magpies that have been coming for  about 5 years now and come several times a day for meat.  We are now waiting for them to bring this years young to meet us.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

I was speaking to a lady at coffee this morning who is into ferns. She has some birds nesting in her ferns, but said the ferns they had chosen would survive.

Margaret it doesn’t take long before the birds know they are welcome at our houses. I don’t know anyone who has as many regular visitors as you do though.
