Sorry forgot to update mine.  I had an $87.16 right at the end of June so all up it looks like I spent well below $400 for the whole month!  So pleased with myself and I'm continuing it into July.  I'm enjoying challenging myself!

Yes. H great idea  and everyone is enjoying it.  It should go  country wide I say.  I walked through Coles today saying reject reject . Spent only about 28 bucks on  NECESSITIES. I am doing well this week. The challenge has instilled a bit of discipline. No more two fers  either.

I know. I needed a loaf of bread and a tub of cream to go with my pumpkin scones today. I walked into the supermarket with the 2 kids, and walked out with a loaf of bread and a tub of cream. That's it. Nothing else.

Well done Gert, i was pleased today, funny normally I   wouldnt have  thought this way. Eb loves peanut butter, today it was 1/2 price, so the jar is his, I bought smooth, because crunchy ?i will eat it all, smooth no.

Of course could have thrown a load of stuff in, but nt needed.

Also bonus tim ams $2 a pkt, so bought them for school holidays. ths wasn't on my list but  everything else I stuck rigidly too.

ES, thanks for the spreadsheet update, great job :). If I get lw  will let you know you can bring me some :)

I bought $78 worth of meat from Gawler River Meat Co today - I didn't need it, only went in for some chickens but there were so many specials and I had a few gaps in the freezer.  Not a lot of supermarket items needed this week so why not keep the freezer full.
How are these prices girls.

896g pork fillet (2 large) $14.33
1.026kg topside mince $8.20
660g diced lamb $7.91
1.56kg pork scotch roast $20.26
1.14kg boneless leg of lamb $14.83
1.33 kg pack of meaty beef bones for soup $2.65
4 chickens for $10 (use by date in 3 days time)

We will get at least 20 meals from this lot of meat for just the 2 of us - approx $4 a meal, not bad going.
