I wonder if the next challenge could be $100 per week holiday challenge? Now that would be interesting... :-))

Have a great holiday Chookie :D

I don' t think that would work. Impossible.  $100 a day perhaps.

This week I am going to be ok as I am still working on the freezer but I can actually see the duck now. So the following week will be a real challenge. I might shop for veggies where Robyn shops this week.

Well when I get to it maybe the  end of the week I think we can get two meals out of it. I will beer ass it on the  BBQ and probably the cherry sauce on the breast using the legs for,the next day.

Got to find a cherry sauce now.

Meanwhile I have to eat the things on top and I can see  2 lots of mince . Thinking cap on.

Yup meat loaf. Forgot about that one. Good one Amy. Can get two meals out,of that. I also see some tortillas so am thinking of a round lasagne using the tortillas instead of  pasta.  Another two meals. Might not get to the duck this week after all. My oh my I am getting really frugal. Or I could give the dogs the mince . Ummmmm?

No! Bad Gert! Use the mince to feed yourself. Nothing wrong with a good meatloaf, and the tortilla lasange sounds yummy. The duck isn't going anywhere :-))

True and I really am not in a hurry to fill the freezer again. This has been a good challenge for us all but especially me. No need to go with the specials unless you need them . No need to shop for excess as I really am only 7 minutes from a store. No need for backup. I have really started to change my very bad habits.

They say it takes 3 weeks to form a habit. I am now starting week 4 ;D

We were going out for tapas earlier today but I said no,we would be down $100, lets do it at home. So we did. ;D
Watched a movie in peace, ate tapas & had a couple of glasses of wine. cost 0. Plus bonus lots f siverside lft as we were not that hungry.

Tortillas, great made crispy for dips, cost minimal, but to buy would be costly.

Not sure I will go ths week.
