That is the downside to putting anything on the Internet, it is there for all to see and some to copy  >:(

I had someone copying my knitting for a while, even using my descriptions word for word, I didn't find it flattering!

I am pleased that you commented, see how long the post stays up?

I am used to Tapioca being less jelly like but it does 'expand' with the liquid and when it sits around a while.  Which recipe did you use, looks yummy!

ES do you like your smeg? Mine is about 6 years old and Ive never been entirely happy withit. So disappointing after all the researching did before buying.

Did you mean me, wonder?  I am happy with my Smeg but, I don't have anything to compare to really as the oven I had in the first place was gas and about 40 years old, bright orange and couldn't cook cakes at all!  I find it cooks very hot so for baking you need to drop the temperature or things brown.  Also when baking biscuits or cakes on more than one level, one cooks more than the other even when using the fan.  Mine is about 10 years old now and I don't think I would buy another Smeg in a hurry.  The thing is that most sales people get kickbacks and they will tell you that it is amazing and the best thing on the market, this has happened to me twice now, the oven and the vacuum cleaner  :'(

Thanks ES. My oven is very uneven and I definitely need to turn off the fan but I really think it's the way this smeg (large 900cm one) cooks. I keep a thermometer inside but the temp seems to be at the right level but they still peak. I really should try again.

I have a Smeg and my cupcakes cook uneven as well when I cook with the fan, cakes are best cooked without the fan.

Yum we have this a lot, known as Hutspot or Stamppot  and I also steam a Rookwurst sausage with the veggies to make an authentic Dutch Meal.

The contestants on masterchef use the v slicers all the time with no guard DH and I always cringe and can't believe they get away with. From experience, it only takes a fraction of a second and not much force to slice through your nail and straight into your finger!

There is an episode of Rick Steins where he is slicing away on one without a guard and even warns us that you should use a guard with these things and in the very next instant, you guessed it, OUCH   :'(

Had a look on e bay for the pasta maker, is it a rectangular shape it is not what I pictured it would like?

I am a bit confused, I have always either under or overcooked pasta until getting my TMX, now I have perfect pasta every time.
